Touch sensitive exit buttons are generally for internal applications only, and the state of contacts is switched on touch, with little-to-no force required. Their modern design makes them a popular choice for offices and other commercial applications.
For a more robust exit button, we would suggest choosing a pad or dome style button which have long been a popular choice for schools, hospitals and other public access buildings.
